‘South Park’ Turns Its Emmy Win Into Brutal Donald Trump Troll

South Park has found another way to mock Donald Trump, this time using its latest Emmy victory as the setup. The Comedy Central animated series, known for its sharp political satire, celebrated its 2026 win with a pointed message aimed directly at the president.

South Park celebrated its 2026 Emmy win by taunting Donald Trump with another pointed message

On Sunday, Sept. 6, South Park won Outstanding Animated Program at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The award recognized “Sermon On The ‘Mount,” a July 2025 episode that mocked Trump’s following, his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, and depicted him in bed with Satan.

The show marked the win on social media with an image of its fictionalized version of Trump holding the Emmy.

“You finally got your Emmy,” the message read.

The post also congratulated creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone and the rest of the South Park team for the victory.

The joke plays on Trump’s own history with the Emmys. As per PEOPLE, The Apprentice, which listed him as an executive producer, was nominated for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program in 2004 and 2005 but did not win. Trump has previously complained that the awards were “all politics” and said The Apprentice should have won “many times over.”

The latest jab also reflects the show’s long-running willingness to turn current events into exaggerated comedy. Rather than issuing a traditional acceptance-style statement, the series used its fictional Trump character to make the award feel like another punchline. That approach fits South Park’s broader style, which often places real political figures in absurd situations while commenting on their public personas.

The episode’s Emmy recognition adds another layer to the controversy surrounding its subject matter. By celebrating the win through satire, the series reinforced its reputation for targeting powerful figures from across the political spectrum, particularly when they have become central to the news cycle.

South Park has now collected its fifth series win. Its previous victories came in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2013.

The show returns for Season 29 on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.
