Jax Taylor is pushing back against his ex-wife Brittany Cartwright’s plea for a restraining order. The Vanderpump Rules alum has now asked the court for protection of his own. Taylor has filed a petition seeking a restraining order against Cartwright. He is asking a judge to order Cartwright to stay 100 yards away from him. He also wants the order to prevent her from contacting him.

Taylor wants Cartwright to stop getting involved in his business opportunities. He claims she has spread what he calls malicious lies about him online. He also alleges that she reached out to potential employers and business partners and threatened to publicly criticize them if they hired him or associated with him, reports TMZ.
Taylor said her actions cost him a role on the Fox television series Special Forces. He said the role would have paid him $175,000 and served as his “comeback” project. He further claimed that Brittany had contacted six of his employers this month. Taylor said the companies chose to distance themselves from him because they feared facing public criticism.
The TV personality further alleged that Brittany has been “grossly negligent” in caring for their 5-year-old son. He also claimed that she has refused to cooperate with him regarding the child’s medical needs.
This isn’t the first time Taylor has accused his ex-wife of trying to hurt his career amid their divorce. In late July, he shared what he believed was a real Smartwater advertisement on social media, only to discover it was fake. The post went viral before he deleted it. His ex-wife later mocked the incident on her podcast, When Reality Hits, claiming he staged the deal to improve his public image.
Cartwright and Taylor first met in Las Vegas in 2015. They married in 2019 and welcomed their son, Cruz, two years later. The couple filed for divorce in 2024 and finalized a custody agreement for their 5-year-old son in March.
