Love & Hip Hop alum Sidney Starr, whose real name is Sidney Favors, was denied bond on August 25 in connection with sexual assault charges. She faces multiple felony charges, including aggravated child molestation, sodomy, and sexual battery against a child under 16.

A Fulton County judge ruled that she may pose a flight risk and a threat to others if released from custody, reports CBS News. The 37-year-old reality star was arrested at an Embassy Suites near Atlanta on August 2. The Hapeville Police Department said the alleged incident happened at the Embassy Suites on the 3400 block of International Boulevard. Authorities transported Starr to the Fulton County Jail after the arrest.
The alleged victim’s mother told the court that her son requires “intensive therapy” to cope with the alleged assault, TMZ states. She urged the judge to deny Starr’s bond, saying, “At this age, when he should feel safe, innocent, and protected, he is now forced to cope with trauma that no child should ever have to endure.”
The outlet previously reported that Starr is “accused of confessing to performing oral sex on a minor.” Starr, a transgender model, became widely known after falsely alleging to have a sexual relationship with rapper Chingy.
Over the years, Starr has remained active on Instagram, regularly sharing updates about her life and fashion with her followers. She has appeared on several television programs, including Baddies ATL, Star, and Empire. The TV personality was also featured in Season 9 of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York. She later became the first transgender woman to appear on Wild ‘N Out.
