Andy Cohen dropped a surprising confession about his boyfriend that even longtime Real Housewives fans probably never expected. The television host revealed that Kevin Sobieski had never watched a single episode of the iconic franchise despite dating the man behind it.
The revelation came during a lighthearted television appearance celebrating two decades of reality TV drama. The surprising admission quickly stole the spotlight from the anniversary festivities.

Andy made the unexpected revelation while appearing on NBC’s TODAY to celebrate 20 years of the Real Housewives franchise. During the interview, Craig Melvin asked whether Kevin enjoyed the wildly popular shows.
“Never seen it,” Andy replied. When Melvin followed up by asking if Kevin had watched “not one frame,” Andy laughed and confirmed, “Yes. He’s not seen one frame.”
Even so, Andy joked that technology had already started introducing his boyfriend to the Bravo universe.
“His algorithm is feeding him ‘Housewives’-related things because our phones listen to everything we say,” Andy said during the interview. “So he’s starting to, I think, get a sense of the universe. But he has no clue.”
When Melvin wondered whether Kevin’s unfamiliarity bothered him, Andy made it clear he cared about something much bigger.
“No, not at all. I love it. He loves my kids and me, and that’s what’s important,” Andy said before adding, “But I’ll get him there.”
The relationship first became public in June after Andy shared the news on Andy Cohen Live on SiriusXM. Introducing Kevin to listeners, he described him as “kind, and strong, and smart, and he is an adult.”
Andy also said, “He loves my children, and they love him, and I love him.”
The Bravo star explained that they first met at a mutual friend’s Fourth of July party in 2025. They talked throughout the night before Andy carefully entered his phone number into Kevin’s contacts twice to avoid mistakes.
The couple dated privately for nearly a year before confirming their romance. Andy later shared that they had taken a “slow and deliberate and methodical” approach while blending Kevin into life with his children, Ben and Lucy.
“It has been so easy,” Andy said. “One year later, I still can’t believe I found him.”
