Twain, who was on the guest list at Swift and Kelce’s wedding in NYC, did not attend the wedding. She opened up about her absence during a conversation with CTV’s etalk. She said, “Taylor Swift invited me to her wedding, and I couldn’t go because I was already committed to Harry’s shows.”
“So that’s why I say that, because it’s just kind of funny how that worked out. That’s so funny, because that’s exactly the kind of accent I have. I was already committed, and I couldn’t go,” she added, referring to Swift’s relationship with Styles.
Her comments referred to Taylor Swift and Harry Styles‘ relationship from 2012 to 2013, according to Page Six. What made the situation unusual was Twain’s scheduling conflict, which involved one of Swift’s most high-profile relationships, which is often linked by fans to her 1989 album. She joked about the timing of her tour with Styles and Swift’s wedding invite.
The singer said she would have done anything to attend the wedding, but she had prior commitments with Harry Styles. She said, “ I mean, I would have done anything to be at Taylor’s wedding. I would have done anything, and it would have been really special for me to be there. But I was with Harry, so that’s why I’m saying, if Harry ever gets married and he wants me at his wedding, then.”
