Christian Bale says he plans to bring his own interpretation to Al Pacino’s iconic character. Speaking about his role in Heat 2, the actor discussed how he plans to approach the role.
AP Entertainment recently interviewed Bale and asked whether he would imitate Al Pacino’s performance. The Dark Knight Rises star begged to differ and said, “No, I’ve got to make it my own. With all due respect, you know, he’s absolutely brilliant in what he did, and I’m watching it obsessively, of course, but I’ve got to figure out my way to do it, to make it my own thing.”
Bale will be playing Vincent Hanna in the movie. Pacino originally portrayed Hanna’s character in 1995’s Heat. Apart from Bale, the project is expected to feature Stephen Graham as Neil McCauley, Leonardo DiCaprio as Chris Shiherlis, Odessa Young as Charlene Shiherlis, Adam Driver as Otis Wardell, and Jason Clarke in an unknown role.
