Bale described the process of becoming Davis during the interview. “I just shaved my head, but then the hair people went to work after that,” Bale said. He added, “Plucked all my eyebrows as well.” The Oscar winner also expressed deep admiration for the real-life figure he portrayed. “I loved him so much. I love playing him. Such an icon,” Bale said about Davis.
Beyond the physical changes, Bale called Davis “such a charismatic guy” and admitted he was reluctant to wrap filming. “I really rued the day when I had to stop playing him,” the actor shared. Notably, his commitment mirrors the dedication he has shown throughout his career for roles requiring major physical changes.
