Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth Gets Caught in Murder & Mayhem in New Netflix Movie Trailer

Netflix has unveiled a new trailer for Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth spin-off film. The character returns in a standalone sequel, seven years after its debut in Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth serves as a sequel and spin-off to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 movie. David Fincher directs the upcoming film from a screenplay by Tarantino. The story is set in 1977 Los Angeles, eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood. Pitt reprises his role as stunt double Cliff Booth, while Timothy Olyphant plays Western actor James Stacy.

What happens in the Cliff Booth trailer?

The trailer begins with Cliff Booth waking up and preparing for his day. Meanwhile, a voiceover says, “You heard the story about Bruce Lee getting his ass kicked by a stuntman? Oh, yeah. This is the guy!” This serves as a nod to the memorable scene in the previous film.

Karen Crosby, a representative for the famous actor Charlie Peters, approached Cliff with a proposition. She informed him that Charlie wanted to meet for an upcoming project. However, since Charlie performs his own stunts, he wouldn’t require Booth’s stunt work.

It turns out that Charlie has become entangled with some Filipino gangsters, and he needs Cliff’s assistance to extricate himself from this dangerous situation. The two soon find themselves caught up in various kinds of trouble, including a murder.

The preview showcases the glamour of 70s Hollywood while highlighting Cliff’s latest adventures. In addition to Pitt and Olyphant, the film also features Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Carla Gugino.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth arrives exclusively in IMAX on November 25, 2026, before making its streaming debut on Netflix on December 23.
