Nicki Minaj became a trending topic on social media after several Republican candidates backed by President Donald Trump lost key midterm races. Social media users respond to the rapper’s Republican election posts

Nicki Minaj faced criticism on X after Democrats flipped several Republican-held Senate seats, defeating multiple candidates endorsed by Donald Trump. She had spent weeks encouraging supporters to “Vote Red” and appeared alongside Trump during campaign events ahead of the midterms.

She also shared several pro-Republican posts on social media leading up to Election Day. Following the results, social media users flooded the comments on Minaj’s latest X post, which featured an AI-generated image of Chucky wearing a “Vote Red” sticker.

One user wrote, “was it worth losing your career,” while another commented, “Congrats on having absolutely zero influence on the election.” The report also noted that Don Mancini, creator of the Chucky franchise, responded to Minaj’s post. He wrote in the caption, “Too bad, Nicki! NO AI, by the way! #bluewave.”

Earlier in the campaign, Minaj appeared with Trump during a rally for Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers in Michigan. During the event, the president praised the rapper before she addressed supporters from the stage. Rogers ultimately lost his race.

The report said that every Republican candidate publicly endorsed by Minaj was defeated in the midterm elections. Following the election, Minaj broke her silence on X with a post celebrating Trump’s presidency and congratulating several Republican winners. She also wrote, “I don’t vote, I VETO,” while urging followers to “Stay tuned & STAY MAD.”

The posts drew another wave of replies, with critics questioning her political commentary after she acknowledged she does not vote. One user responded, “yall still lost the midterms,” while another wrote, “You went and spend Trump’s money for ZERO RESULTS.”

Other high-profile Trump supporters, including Rob Schneider, Kevin Sorbo, and Elon Musk, also drew attention online after the election. The outlet reported that Musk later deleted one of his “Vote Red” posts following the Republican defeats.
