King Charles and Queen Camilla reportedly hit a bathroom-related roadblock during their recent trip to Antigua in a new news update. For those unversed, the Queen joined the King in Antigua and Barbuda for the last leg of his royal tour in the Caribbean.
Based on recent reports, the British royals had some interesting adventures, including the time Charles stood in pouring rain, waiting to be handed an umbrella.
King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Antigua visit was reportedly hit with a toilet blunder
King Charles and Queen Camilla reportedly faced a toilet mishap during their recent visit to Antigua. Sources attached to Radar Online revealed that a luxury suite imported from Italy arrived with the wrong toilet.
This seemingly led to a chaotic situation, as the team had to rush to arrange a suitable replacement before the royal couple arrived. Camilla was said to be recovering at a luxury cottage in Hodges Bay, Antigua, with her husband.
The property was reportedly renovated before the royal couple’s visit. Unfortunately, the alleged toilet that arrived from Italy was not the one they expected. Sources insist that the team promptly found a replacement and allowed Charles and Camilla to enjoy their stay without the pressure of being moved to “emergency” accommodation.
Interestingly, Charles categorically denied the fact that he carried his own toilet seat when he traveled internationally. The King revealed this tidbit to an Australian radio presenter in Brisbane in 2018. Charles, seemingly shocked, replied: “My own what?” He then added sharply: “Oh, don’t believe all that c**p.”
The rumor first surfaced in Tom Bower’s 2018 biography, “Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles.” Bower claimed that Charles’ travel arrangements included a wide range of things. This comprised an orthopedic bed, fresh linen, a personal toilet seat, and preferred toilet paper. Not only that, but he also carried bottled water, whisky, as well as paintings of the Scottish Highlands.
Other royal authors seemingly agreed with the chatter, with one even adding that the King likes to take his childhood teddy bear along.
