The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp has reflected on her somber battle with cancer. Opening up about her recent relationship, the 45-year-old gave fans a vulnerable look into her mindset regarding her future.
Back on Tuesday, November 3, Mellencamp posted a video on her Instagram Story reflecting on the latest episode of her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod. Addressing the latest split from her boyfriend PJ Conley, the 45-year-old said, per People, “But at the end of the day, all I can do is work my very hardest to feel my very best, and that is going to be enough.”
She also added, “I’m fighting for my life, and I’m gonna keep doing it. And yeah, people are gonna add special parts to your life, and it’s going to make you happy at times, and then it’s gonna make you sad at times. That’s okay. You just gotta keep fighting for you.” Mellencamp is having a tough time following her initial diagnosis of stage 2 melanoma, a deadly form of skin cancer, back in 2022.
Teddi Mellencamp reflects on life and relationships amid her cancer battle
Teddi Mellencamp shared the reason behind her becoming extremely emotional when talking about the end of her relationship. At that point in time, she was dealing with two emotional setbacks. While Mellencamp was dealing with the separation, she was also fighting her battle against cancer.
According to People, the Next Level actor stated, “I know I got very emotional on the pod, but I think part of what it was— I mean, clearly yes, I was very, very sad. But I think I was meshing the two of ‘I don’t see a future with you’ and ‘I don’t have a future.'” She further added, “And I think because of cancer-related things, that’s such a big fear of mine that there’s no future, that I take things very personally.”
Despite undergoing several surgeries, Mellencamp shared in April 2025 that her cancer had spread to her brain and lungs. Following her surgery, she continued receiving regular immunotherapy. In August 2026, the 45-year-old star revealed that she still had nine months of cancer treatment ahead of her.
