Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Wore a Halloween Costume With a Double Meaning

Nicole Kidman’s daughter turned Halloween into a pop-culture inside joke, and the punchline had two layers. Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban dressed as singer Adéla, whose viral track celebrated her famous mother and whose lyrics echoed Kidman’s film Babygirl.

The 18-year-old model shared the look on Instagram on Nov. 1, the day after Halloween. A bright pink wig and ballet-inspired outfit recreated one of Adéla’s signature looks, while Sunday Rose’s caption tied the costume back to her mother. The playful reference quickly made the photos a fan favorite.

How Sunday Rose linked Adéla’s song to her mother’s film Babygirl

PEOPLE reported that Adéla’s song “Nicole Kidman” paid homage to the Oscar-winning actress and referenced her films. In her post, Sunday Rose added another wink with the caption, “Babygirl in control,” borrowing a lyric from the track and invoking Kidman’s 2024 film Babygirl. Fans immediately caught the double meaning. “OMG I’m screaming!” one commenter wrote as per Pararde, while another declared, “She knew.”

The 22-year-old Slovak singer’s track had already reached Kidman. PEOPLE noted that the actress reacted when the song played during the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in October. Adéla, who first appeared on The Debut: Dream Academy, later discussed her unlikely muse on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “She’s my muse,” she said, joking that Kidman mentioning her name around town amounted to “charity work.”

Adéla also told Pop Crave, according to Billboard, “I can’t believe Nicole Kidman knows who I am.” She called Kidman “a legend” and said recognition from the person behind the song felt extraordinary.

Sunday Rose, whom Kidman shared with musician Keith Urban, continued building her own modeling career through runway appearances and fashion campaigns. In an Oct. 20 Vogue Germany interview, she acknowledged the advantages her famous family brought. “I’m very aware that I’m given opportunities that not everyone can have, and I’m truly grateful to be able to take advantage of them,” she said.

She also stressed respect and professionalism, even when tired or jet-lagged. Asked whether she hid her parents’ identities, she replied, “Not really.” She said she never intentionally announced them, but most people in her area knew once she started school.
