Céline Dion’s Paris Takeover Has a Jaw-Dropping Twist

Céline Dion has made a return to the stage after years away from touring. Her Paris residency has generated significant ticket sales and concert revenue, with the first run already setting a major milestone for the singer.

Céline Dion’s Paris residency grosses $125.5 million in just 16 shows

According to figures reported by Billboard Boxscore, Céline Dion’s Paris residency generated $125.5 million. The singer sold 539,000 tickets across 16 performances in September and October at Plénitude Arena in Paris.

The achievement comes after Dion spent years away from touring. Her Courage World Tour began in September 2019 and earned more than $100 million before the COVID-19 shutdown interrupted the tour in March 2020.

Dion subsequently postponed her return several times. She eventually canceled the remaining tour dates in 2023 following her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis. Her 2026 return has now generated substantial box-office results.

The Paris residency averaged approximately $7.8 million per performance. Billboard noted that this exceeded the nightly revenue of Dion’s previous Las Vegas residencies. It also surpassed U2’s reported $6.1 million average per show at Sphere.

Attendance figures were similarly notable. Dion averaged 33,700 tickets per performance during the residency. Billboard reported that this nearly doubled the next-highest average attendance recorded for a residency.

The singer already has a significant history with Las Vegas residencies. A New Day… grossed $385.1 million across 714 performances between 2003 and 2007. Her later Celine residency generated another $296.2 million across 427 shows.

Across her reported career performances, Dion has grossed approximately $1.3 billion. She has also sold 9.8 million tickets from 1,517 concerts. More than half of those figures came from her three residencies.

Dion is scheduled to return to Paris next year. She has 10 additional performances planned between May 8 and 29. The shows could bring her closer to the milestone of 10 million tickets sold.
