Grown Ups 3 has officially wrapped production. Adam Sandler and Chris Rock’s highly anticipated comedy sequel is now one step closer to its debut on Netflix.
The latest development comes directly from a returning franchise cast member who celebrated the major milestone on social media, offering fans a reassuring sign that the original ensemble is officially ready for another chapter.
Ada-Nicole Sanger, who portrays Donna Lamonsoff, confirmed the news with an Instagram post. “That’s a wrap on GU3!,” Sanger wrote, reflecting on her experience returning to the comedy series. She added, “I love you all and can’t wait for the world to see what we did!” alongside a carousel featuring photos of her script, a celebratory wrap cake, and her trailer.
What we know about Grown Ups 3’s cast and release plans
The sequel will reunite the franchise’s core cast, including Sandler as Lenny, Rock as Kurt, Kevin James as Eric, David Spade as Marcus, and Rob Schneider as Rob. Salma Hayek Pinault, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, and Sanger will also reprise their respective roles.
Joining the franchise as fresh faces are Julie Bowen, Deon Cole, and Bailee Madison. Kyle Newacheck, who directed Happy Gilmore 2, is helming the sequel. Sandler and Tim Herlihy have written the screenplay, with Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Jack Giarraputo, and Herlihy serving as producers.
The previous films followed five childhood friends as they reunited and navigated family life, relationships, and unexpected adventures. The third installment will see the group enter a new phase of life as they adjust to having grown-up children. The official logline reads, “Now that their kids are all grown up, the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure.”
Netflix has yet to set an official release date for Grown Ups 3. However, Rock teased a prospective summer 2027 premiere during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. With filming now complete, the movie can move into post-production ahead of its anticipated Netflix debut.
