Sarah Ferguson made a rare public appearance in London after several months away from major public events.
The 67-year-old joined her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, at a memorial service for her former boyfriend and longtime friend Paddy McNally on Thursday.

According to the Daily Mail, Ferguson attended the service at St Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, where photographers captured her arriving in a blue lace blazer.
Her daughters also attended with their husbands. Beatrice arrived with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, while Eugenie appeared with Jack Brooksbank. Peter Phillips, the son of Princess Anne, also joined the family at the service.
The outing marked Ferguson’s first photographed public appearance since April, when she was photographed at a resort in Austria.
She had largely stayed away from public events in the months that followed and reportedly spent time abroad before returning to Britain.
Thursday’s gathering also brought Ferguson together publicly with Beatrice and Eugenie. The mother and daughters have long shared a close relationship and previously referred to themselves as “the tripod.”
Ferguson attended the memorial to honor McNally, whom she dated during the 1980s. Although their romantic relationship ended, they remained close friends.
She previously described McNally as an important figure in her life.
“Paddy was my father figure, 22 years older than me,” Ferguson said. “He taught me so much about life.”
Beatrice had represented her mother at McNally’s earlier funeral while Ferguson was absent from public events.
The former Duchess had also undergone major changes over the previous year. She left Royal Lodge, where she had lived with her former husband Andrew, and reportedly spent time in several European locations before returning to the U.K.
Ferguson had also faced renewed public scrutiny over her past associations. However, her latest appearance centered on McNally’s memorial and her reunion with family.
Her appearance at Thursday’s service provided a rare glimpse of Ferguson in public after several months away from major public engagements.
