Tom Cruise is reportedly considering moving to London amid his growing bond with the royal family. Cruise recently connected with Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, at the London premiere of Digger. The Hollywood megastar subsequently praised the Waleses in several interviews. Now, according to Radar Online, Cruise is considering making the English capital his home.
An Insider suggests Tom Cruise might be planning to move to London
According to sources cited by Radar Online, the Hollywood megastar is increasingly enamoured with London. The city has become an important destination for his personal and professional commitments, with his film premieres attracting considerable attention.
For context, Cruise’s relationship with the royal family goes a long way. Back in 1992, Cruise and his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, met Princess Diana at the premiere of Far and Away. Later, the late Princess allegedly took her sons, William and Harry, to the set of Mission: Impossible.
Sources have stated that his growing friendship with William and Kate gives him an even bigger reason to move to Britain. The insider explained that the British royal family carries weight in the UK and treats Cruise, a Hollywood megastar, as royalty himself. This has enticed the Mission: Impossible star to move to London.
The source said: “In London, Tom isn’t just another actor promoting another movie. He’s treated like the American king of the city. Hollywood treats him like a movie star. London treats him like a visiting head of state.”
Previously, the Top Gun star raved about the future king and queen after meeting them at his Digger premiere in London. Cruise said the Princess of Wales has a great sense of humour and is obviously very intelligent and a lot of fun. Additionally, he lavished praise on the Waleses and called them “so charismatic and so elegant” (via Radar Online).
