Watch Jamie Lee Curtis Play Elizabeth Holmes in Jimmy Fallon’s A24 Spoof

Jimmy Fallon and Jamie Lee Curtis teamed up for a memorable comedy sketch on The Tonight Show on Wednesday night, spoofing A24’s documentary You Can See Everything. Curtis transformed into Elizabeth Holmes while Fallon channeled Nathan Fielder’s awkward interview style.

The sketch opened with Fallon adopting Fielder’s signature deadpan demeanor. He asked Curtis’ Holmes character whether she genuinely wanted to appear on the show. Curtis, sporting a blonde wig and delivering an unnervingly intense stare, insisted she “loved talking” to him.

The host pressed further, questioning whether she only showed up to promote her NBC sitcom Newlyweds. Curtis denied any ulterior motives, claiming she engaged with him as “a human being” and had no reason to deceive him.

The exchange appeared to mirror the uncomfortable energy that is seen in A24 documentary’s teaser trailer. The segment wrapped with Fallon asking one last time whether she was being real. Curtis assured him she always was. The moment Fallon walked away, she dropped the facade and shouted “what an a——” he was.

Jamie Lee Curtis visited the show primarily to promote Newlyweds, which premiered October 23 on NBC. The sitcom stars Téa Leoni and Tim Daly as a free-spirited woman and buttoned-up professor who marry quickly after a whirlwind romance. Curtis recurs on the series and co-created it with Gail Lerner.

A24’s You Can See Everything released in theaters October 16 and has collected $45.1 million domestically after its trailer release took over the internet. Fielder and co-director Lance Oppenheim spent over three years developing the project.

The documentary captures a never-before-seen and perpetually intimate portrait of Elizabeth Holmes one month before she started her 11-year prison sentence for allegedly defrauding investors. The film continues drawing audiences and awards attention, making Fallon’s parody especially timely.
