Royal Photographer Weighs in on Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Kids’ Security

Longtime royal photographer Arthur Edwards has weighed in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ongoing security dispute, particularly concerning their children. For those unfamiliar, the Sussexes returned to the UK with their children on August 26 and plan to remain in the country for an extended period.

Harry and Meghan are seeking taxpayer-funded security during their stay. Meanwhile, the couple recently withdrew their children from an exclusive UK prep school, reportedly citing security concerns.

Royal photographer suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s kids should get ‘royal protection’

Royal photographer Arthur Edwards has voiced his support for royal protection for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children amid the Sussexes’ ongoing security concerns. In his new memoir, “Cup of Tea, Arthur? My Extraordinary 50 Years Photographing the Royal Family,” Edwards shares his perspective on the pressing issues surrounding the royal family.

Speaking to The Telegraph to promote his memoir, the veteran photographer opened up about his close bond with the royal family. He revealed that he was pleased to learn that Harry and Meghan had returned to the UK with their children, Archie and Lilibet. He also praised the Duke of Sussex, expressing his belief that the prince would “bounce back.”

Edwards further revealed that he hopes to see the Sussexes return to the royal fold. He also shared his thoughts on the upbringing of Archie and Lilibet, emphasizing the importance of their royal connections.

Describing the young royals as the “prince and princess of the House of Windsor,” Edwards argued that they should receive royal protection. He expressed his view that Archie and Lilibet should not have to grow up in Montecito and attend an American school. Instead, he believes they should have the opportunity to spend time with their cousins and enjoy family life at Balmoral and Windsor.

Emphasizing his stance on their security, Edwards stated: “They should get royal protection. Because if they were kidnapped, there would be uproar.”

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan have received approval for an official risk assessment by the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (RAVEC). The assessment will determine whether the couple qualifies for state-funded security during their visits to the UK.
