Margaret said, “I do feel sorry for her,” adding that she wants Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to have a normal life. Tom said he would not judge Meghan through the lens of her father, noting that she is an adult with her own say in the matter.
Karim said he understood Meghan’s wish to protect her children, although the allegations remain unsubstantiated. Doreen said she would not necessarily describe herself as feeling sorry for Meghan but could imagine how difficult the situation might be from her perspective.
Thomas Markle Jr. made the unproven allegations last week, claiming his father possessed child sexual abuse images. Investigators haven’t brought charges or confirmed any guilt. He added that he is shocked, hurt, and upset that his son is making the accusations.
