Meghan Markle reportedly leaves UK with Prince Harry and kids for a short break amid dad’s controversy
According to HELLO!, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are taking a short break as they travel outside the UK. This news comes amid reports that the allegations against Markle’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., are under investigation.
The report claimed that friends outside the UK are supporting the former actor as she comes to terms with the allegations against her estranged father. The couple is allegedly spending time with their close friends, with Markle’s circle regularly contacting her to check in.
Thomas Markle Sr.’s son, Thomas Jr., claimed that he found child s*x abuse pictures at his father’s house in the Philippines. This has launched an investigation into the retired Hollywood lighting director, who has denied any wrongdoing.
As per the report, Markle first learned about the allegations in 2018. This was when the Metropolitan Police gave her a letter from his first wife, Roslyn Loveless. Allegedly, Loveless made some “disturbing” claims in Markle’s words. The magazine also claimed that Markle has met Loveless, her stepsister and brother’s mother, only once or twice.
At the time, the “Suits” star allegedly got the advice not to speak out publicly about the allegations. However, that did not stop her from cutting off ties with her father. Last week, in a statement, she wrote, “I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children, was for one reason: to protect them.”
