Craig Conover has developed a different perspective on his past relationships after years of growing up in the public eye. The Southern Charm star admitted that some of his former partners might no longer be compatible with him as he continues searching for lasting love.
Since splitting from Paige DeSorbo in 2024, Craig has rethought his approach to dating, marriage and family. At 37, he still hopes to settle down and have children, but he no longer feels tied to a particular timeline.
Craig Conover reflects on his exes and finding love after his Paige DeSorbo breakup
In an interview with Us Weekly on Oct. 19, Craig explained how personal growth had changed his perspective. “People I’ve dated in the past, I don’t even think we’d be friends today,” he confessed. He explained that their lives had simply moved in different directions. “Life changes,” he added, suggesting that those relationships might never have developed if they had met today.
Craig found something reassuring in that realization. “It’s kind of neat to think about instead of having to outgrow a relationship, you can, I don’t know, there’s some benefits in meeting people later on,” he said. His dating history has attracted attention since his Bravo debut in 2013. He dated Southern Charm costar Naomie Olindo for two years before they split in 2017. They later hooked up in the summer of 2021, while Craig was casually dating Paige.
Craig and Paige went public with their relationship that September. They dated for three years before splitting after Thanksgiving in 2024. In March 2025, Us Weekly reported that Craig was dating Natalie Buffett. Three months later, he confirmed he was single again. His romantic connection with Southern Charm costar Charley Manley also fizzled out before Season 11 ended. Craig admitted that he sometimes had doubts when his life did not unfold as he had expected. Still, he reminded himself that his life had turned out “insanely different” from anything he once imagined.
“Yeah, I’m [almost] 38 and I’m single. I mean, and it freaks you out. But I’m like, but that’s really just a construct. It’s really not real. Like we’re gonna be fine,” he concluded. Beyond romance, Craig looked forward to an Antarctica trip and scripted projects. He has also partnered with State Farm for an immersive activation at Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston on October 24. After 20 years as a State Farm customer, he welcomed the opportunity to share his hometown with Bravo fans.
