Kate Middleton revealed that she is missing her eldest son, Prince George, a month after he began boarding at Eton College. The Princess of Wales shared the update during a solo outing in Hoveton on Thursday. For those unversed, the 13-year-old is now a full-time boarder for the first time.
Kate Middleton misses son Prince George and ‘can’t wait’ to have him at home with everyone, says shopper
Kate Middleton visited Café 98 in Hoveton as a patron of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), the charity that runs the shop. While meeting shoppers inside the center, the mom of three said she missed her teenage son, as per HELLO!.
Denise Ashton, who met the princess, told the media that Kate said she is looking forward to Prince George coming home and has missed him. Ashton added that the family may be going somewhere during the break.
A young child also told the royal that it was his last day of school before the half-term break. Kate replied, “My children break up tomorrow, and I can’t wait to have them all home.”
Elsewhere on the outing, Kate oversaw The Treehouse’s expansion project. Construction is underway on a new hydrotherapy pool and a wellbeing and therapies suite for the children’s hospice. Furthermore, the expansion will add a larger care activity area, a dedicated teenage space, an extra bedroom, and bigger kitchen and dining facilities.
Meanwhile, George has spent almost a month settling in at the all-boys boarding school, making new friends and meeting his classmates. He is also getting used to the school’s many complicated rules, including strict ones on punctuality. Work that falls short earns a “rip,” which means the top of the page is torn off.
George boarded part-time while he attended Lambrook School. However, Eton is his first time living away from his family during the school term. He now lives in a humble study-bedroom, just like the other boys in his cohort.
