Jennifer Lopez & Brett Goldstein Romance Hits First Major Roadblock — Source

Mismatched expectations may sit at the heart of a new report about the recent Hollywood pairing of Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein. While one person is allegedly dreaming of forever, the other is simply having fun. According to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice newsletter, the couple’s romance has hit a snag over how each of them sees it.

Rob Shuter reports that the relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein is currently casual and that the two have barely begun dating. Behind the scenes, though, an insider claims the singer is already picturing a long-term future. “Jennifer is obsessed. She’s convinced Brett could be the one,” claims the source,

The report says the pair grew close while filming the Netflix project Office Romance. It sums up the gap in their outlooks in one line: “Brett thinks they’re having fun. Jennifer thinks it’s destiny.” The report also claims Lopez, 57, has mentioned spending time in London, a step Goldstein, 46, is supposedly nowhere near considering.

Lifestyle differences are another sticking point, according to the insiders. They describe the Ted Lasso star as an ordinary British man and Lopez as someone who travels with a large entourage. In their view, he “wants a girlfriend, not an entire Hollywood production.” The report suggests that the two stars lead very different day-to-day lives. This could further cause a snag in their romance.

Friends close to the situation are also said to be wary of a pattern. Shuter points to Lopez’s earlier relationships with Ben Affleck, Alex Rodriguez, and Marc Anthony. One source claims, “Jennifer falls hard, moves fast and expects forever.” Even Affleck, described as someone who enjoys attention, reportedly found the spotlight difficult to handle.

Neither Lopez nor Goldstein confirmed their dating rumors. On screen, at least, the story is clearer. Office Romance, which Goldstein co-wrote, casts Lopez as airline CEO Jacqueline Cruz and Goldstein as her new employee, and their chemistry in the film has fueled much of the talk.
