Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly keeping in touch with a particular Royal Family member who knows many of the family’s secrets. They claimed that staying connected with this member could help the couple maintain control if her potential tell-all memoir comes out. The person in question is Sarah Ferguson, whose team recently shared an update on whether a memoir is in the works.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle keeping in touch with Sarah Ferguson, sources say
A source told Heatworld that Ferguson doesn’t have plans to write and publish a tell-all memoir. However, she might consider it if the money is right. The source said that this could potentially lead to the Sussexes forming an alliance with Ferguson.
They also noted that they may still want to keep “the disgraced former royal” away from their “official circle.” The insider added that Harry and Markle are trying to remain in touch with her so that if she decides to come out with comments about the Royal Family, they may gain “some sort of control” over it. The source claimed that they’re “keeping this allegiance firmly behind closed doors.”
This update comes after a source shared with the same outlet Ferguson’s reaction to Charles Spencer’s controversial Diana memoir. They said, “No one knew this book from Charles Spencer was coming until the last minute so it’s taken Sarah by surprise, although for her it’s been a very good surprise because it’s got the King and everyone else within the Firm completely on the ropes.”
They claimed that Ferguson’s tell-all memoir could do much more damage to King Charles’ legacy than Spencer’s, given she has known the Royal Family for the past five decades. Recently, Ferguson’s team stepped in to debunk the memoir rumors. They clarified that she didn’t sign a multi-million-dollar book deal and doesn’t have a plan to write a memoir either.
