Craig Conover discusses being bullied in middle school on Watch What Happens Live
Recently, Watch What Happens Live! shared an interview video on its official X account featuring the reality star speaking with Andy Cohen. The post’s caption read, “Craig Conover speaks about his experience being bullied in middle school.”
In the video, Andy Cohen asks Craig Conover how old he was when he experienced bullying. Conover says he was in middle school and explains that the bullying he faced in seventh grade had a lasting impact on him. When he signed his contract for Southern Charm, he even hoped Delaware’s prisons had TVs so his former bullies could watch him on the show. Conover also said that some of his childhood bullies are now in prison.
Conover released his book, Patch Work: Bee Brave. Bee Kind. Bee You, on Oct. 13, 2026. Through the book, he hopes to teach children that being bullied is not their fault but the bully’s problem.
For context, Craig Conover began his career as a reality TV star before becoming an author and entrepreneur. The 37-year-old first gained recognition on Bravo’s popular reality show Southern Charm, where he has been a main cast member since its 2014 premiere. His passion for sewing often became a talking point on the show.
In 2018, Conover turned that passion into a business by launching his home decor brand, Sewing Down South. After establishing himself as a TV star and businessman, the Delaware-born TV personality published his first memoir, Pillow Talk: What’s Wrong With My Sewing? in 2022 and became a New York Times bestselling author. Patch Work: Bee Brave. Bee Kind. Bee You is Conover’s second book.
