Recently, the reality TV star’s son spoke exclusively to People about his illness. During the interview, Jackson Jordan discussed his colon cancer diagnosis at 27 and revealed how his mother, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, reacted to the news.

Jackson said, “Because I waited so long to go to the doctor, I was already bracing myself for the worst, hearing that specific word. So I was more concerned about my parents’ reaction and emotions over myself.”

“I remember them wheeling me back to my hospital room and my dad was in the hallway crying. And then they wheeled me into the room, and my mom was, like, curled up on the bed I was staying in and she was so emotional,” he added.

Charisse said, “I was numb and it just didn’t seem real. I just had this pit in my stomach that would not go away for weeks. It was just so freaking devastating, and I was scared.”

However, the reality star also revealed that she wasn’t too worried at one point because, deep down, she had faith that everything would be okay.

For context, Charisse Jackson-Jordan’s 27-year-old son first noticed blood in his stool and changes in his usual bowel movements. However, fear kept him from telling anyone for several months. By late November, he had lost a significant amount of weight and looked extremely fatigued. One day, he felt dizzy while walking down the street and nearly fainted.

His family then took him to a doctor, where blood tests revealed dangerously low hemoglobin levels. After doctors admitted him to the hospital and performed a colonoscopy, they found a tumor in his colon and diagnosed him with colon cancer.

Jackson completed weekly radiation treatments for nearly two months, followed by four months of chemotherapy. His scans in September 2026 came back completely clear. Doctors found no signs of the disease in his body and declared him cancer-free.
