Kate Middleton’s next tiara is reportedly inspired by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. According to a new update from Buckingham Palace, King Charles and Queen Camilla will soon host His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Sultan of Oman, from October 20 to 22. Notably, the Princess of Wales will play a significant role in this royal engagement, and her next tiara could possibly have a Princess Diana connection.

Kate Middleton’s next tiara could have a Princess Diana connection as she prepares for a crucial royal engagement with the Sultan of Oman. The Sultan will set foot in the UK a day before, on October 19, ahead of his official welcome the next day, on October 20. Prince William will meet him at his residence, and King Charles and Queen Camilla will formally receive the Sultan at the Royal Dais on Datchet Road.
This will commence a series of royal engagements to warmly welcome the Sultan into the UK (via The Royal Observer). However, out of all the royal activities, fans are eagerly awaiting to see what tiara Middleton will choose for the special occasion.
For those unversed, the Princess of Wales has adorned beautiful, noteworthy tiaras at previous state banquets. Fans are certainly eager to see if Middleton will wear a Princess Diana-inspired tiara for the Windsor Castle banquet.
As per Tatler, the future queen previously wore the Lover’s Knot Tiara during the state banquet for the South African president in November 2022. Incidentally, the late Queen Elizabeth had given it to Diana during her wedding in 1981. Diana wore it on several special occasions and eventually returned it to Buckingham Palace after her divorce from King Charles.
Middleton eventually inherited the tiara and wore it for the first time during the 2015 annual diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace. She has worn it on many formal occasions, even though it has reportedly given her a headache.
