Donald Trump’s California Comments Spark Fury on The View

Donald Trump’s remarks these days often spark controversy, and the same thing happened recently when he made a controversial statement about California during his speech regarding the Iran war. The statement drew heavy criticism, and now it has sparked fury on The View.

The View panel condemned Trump’s remarks involving Los Angeles, San Diego and Iran

During the full broadcast episode of The View on October 6, 2026, the show’s co-hosts did not hold back while criticizing Donald Trump. The panel condemned Trump’s remarks involving Los Angeles, San Diego, and Iran.

Whoopi Goldberg said, “How has this not enraged people in government? I mean, this is supposed to be the president of the United States. And they say, ‘Oh, no, he’s kidding.’ He doesn’t sound like he’s kidding.”

“Why isn’t anybody on fire that this man is talking about states in his own country?” she questioned further.

According to Ana Navarro, the U.S. president was “basically inviting this regime to come out and take two American cities.” She also warned about “unhinged, deranged, manic, evil, outrageous behavior.”

The criticism did not end there. Alyssa Farah Griffin called Donald Trump’s comment “absolute madness” and said, “We’re so used to it that, by tomorrow, no one’s going to remember that he said it.”

Later, Sunny Hostin said, “We’re talking about 10 million Americans. I think it’s time for people to start taking seriously the possibility of maybe the 25th Amendment.”

For context, during his speech, Donald Trump said about the Iran war, “They can take out a city. Let ‘em take out Los Angeles, let ‘em take out San Diego.” However, The View and some people on social media were not the only ones who expressed outrage over the remarks. The statement also upset several other prominent figures, including Lisa Rinna, Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, Todd Gloria, Lindsey Horvath, and others.
