Prince William had a surprise celebrity companion during his visit to Somerset on October 6. The Prince of Wales was joined by Celebrity Traitors star Ross Kemp in Ilminster. William was there to launch Ready Together, an initiative designed to help communities prepare for emergencies and extreme weather events. Kemp serves as an ambassador for the program.

During the visit, Kemp was thrilled to discover that Prince William and Kate Middleton are fans of the reality series. The 62-year-old British actor and documentary presenter became one of the breakout stars of The Celebrity Traitors Season 2 on BBC One.
He said, as stated by The Sun, “That’s great. Them and the rest of the country. I’ve been on the TV for 43 years, but I’ve never known anything like this. Even the fella at my local garage wanted a selfie; he’s never been bothered before.” Despite his years of experience filming survival documentaries, Kemp said competing on the show was more stressful.
During the visit, Prince William also met members of Ilminster Under-16s football club to discuss how they can prepare for future flooding from the River Isle. However, the Traitors soon entered the conversation, with the group discussing who might emerge as the winner. The Prince then playfully said he would ask Kemp for the answer, adding, “Spoiler alert!”
The second season, which premiered on October 1, features 21 stars as they try to determine who among them is a Faithful and who is a Traitor. Among the stars joining this season are The Last of Us actress Bella Ramsey, Sharon Rooney, Love Island host Maya Jama, comedian Miranda Hart, Richard E. Grant, Joanne McNally, and Coronation Street favorite Julie Hesmondhalgh. The show airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer each week, with new episodes released on Thursdays and Fridays.
