Meghan Markle could see the old Tiaragate row revived if a planned Angela Kelly film revisits the dispute. The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry were central to the 2018 wedding-tiara controversy involving Queen Elizabeth’s longtime dresser. A new report says Kelly witnessed another incident the couple is allegedly “praying” never reaches the screen. The film, tentatively titled “Trouble,” could therefore reopen a palace clash Harry later described in his memoir “Spare.”

As per a Daily Mail report, an Angela Kelly film is in development. Royal expert Richard Eden said writer Jeremy Brock may be working on the script. Brock previously co-created “Casualty” and wrote “A Very Royal Scandal.” Meanwhile, the project is reportedly being developed by Searchlight Pictures. Eden called Kelly “a fascinating figure” and recalled her reported nickname, “AK-47.” He added that whispers suggested the film could offer “a very accurate portrayal.”
However, the biggest concern for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reportedly centers on Tiaragate. Mail on Sunday Editor at Large Charlotte Griffiths said Harry should be nervous about the project. She claimed Kelly witnessed more than the public already knew.
Griffiths said, “Apparently there’s another incident from around that time.” She added that the Sussexes are allegedly “praying” it “does not come out in this drama.” However, the report did not describe that alleged incident. It also did not confirm whether Kelly herself was formally collaborating.
For context, Harry blamed Kelly in “Spare” for delaying Meghan’s access to her wedding tiara. He portrayed the royal dresser as obstructive during preparations for a hair trial. Meghan ultimately wore Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau at the May 2018 wedding.
Meanwhile, Eden noted Kelly had “some really lively rows with Harry and Meghan.” He also recalled Harry being “particularly unpleasant about her” in his memoir. However, the film’s exact storyline remains unknown. Whether Tiaragate appears on screen or introduces new allegations has not been confirmed.
