In an interview with Decider, Carmella Garcia discussed where things currently stand with Vicki Gunvalson ahead of the RHOC reunion. Carmella said there had not been much resolution between them. That suggests viewers should not expect the two to arrive at the reunion with their problems neatly settled.
Their tension started early in RHOC Season 20. During one memorable exchange, Vicki reminded Carmella that she “started this franchise.” Carmella quickly fired back that “everything has an expiration,” making it clear that she would not back down simply because Vicki has a long history with the show.
The conflict later became more personal. During the Las Vegas trip, Vicki criticized Carmella’s parenting. Although Vicki apologized and Carmella accepted it, Carmella later admitted she still struggled with the comment.
Vicki later suggested Carmella’s then-boyfriend, Danny Hampel, was essentially raising her children. Carmella confronted her over the remark during Shannon Beador’s luau, bringing their frustrations back to the surface.
Those repeated comments appear to have left Carmella with little interest in another apology.
She reinforced that position during a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance. When asked whether she wanted Vicki to apologize at the RHOC reunion, Carmella made it clear that she did not.
Her answer suggests the issue has moved beyond one specific remark. Instead, the tension now appears rooted in the broader pattern of comments the two have exchanged throughout RHOC Season 20.
Carmella also told Decider that she still expects the reunion to bring plenty of discussion. With so little resolution between them beforehand, the two women may have to address their disagreements directly once they sit down with the rest of the cast.
