Political commentator Megyn Kelly has weighed in on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s latest chapter in the UK. The couple has continued to draw attention since their return, with fresh questions around their future. Now, Kelly’s comments have added another layer to the ongoing discussion surrounding the Sussexes.
Megyn Kelly rejects Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s alleged US return
The Megyn Kelly Show shared a video on X discussing reports that Markle and Harry could leave the UK within weeks. According to a Daily Mail report by Alison Boshoff, sources claim that a return to Montecito “has not been ruled out” and could happen as soon as half-term.
The source quoted in the report claimed, “If he doesn’t get [security], then I believe he will go back to Montecito for good, and that could be as soon as half-term.” Kelly questioned why Harry and Meghan returned to the UK despite knowing that his security arrangements had previously been changed.
She also criticized their approach to security and questioned whether they had done enough planning around their children’s daily routine. Kelly then turned her attention to the possibility of the Sussexes returning to California. She said, “We don’t want to inherit that again. We did our time.” She added, “They’re the UK’s problem now.”
The comments followed a report that the Royal and VIP Executive Committee, or RAVEC, is expected to decide on Harry’s security soon, and they can leave within weeks. The report said the outcome could affect whether the Sussexes remain in Britain or return to California.
Kelly also challenged the idea that Harry’s concerns over security should determine whether the family stays in the UK. She argued that there were other security options available and questioned why the British taxpayer should cover the costs.
For now, the Sussexes’ return to the US remains unconfirmed. But Kelly’s comments have brought fresh attention to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s future in the UK and the ongoing debate over Harry’s security.
