Taylor Swift enthralled fans by making a surprise Emmys cameo while enjoying Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game on the same night. In a post shared by the NFL’s official X account, Swift can be seen engrossed in a conversation with megastar Tom Cruise at the game.
Simultaneously, the Grammy winner appeared at the Emmys in a pre-recorded “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” segment. NBC shared the video with the caption: “Taylor Swift is wanted at the Emmys,” followed by a red siren emoji. “Emmys LIVE on NBC and streaming on Peacock.”
In the skit shared online, Mariska Hargitay walks in and, true to her character, Olivia Benson, announces: “The Emmys are tonight. And the mayor’s office is breathing down my neck, demanding an answer to the big question: Will Taylor Swift be at the Emmys?”
Continuing further, she urges her team to “think” like a Swiftie because “the Swifties think that everything is a clue to what she’ll do next.” After a couple of minutes, the “Opalite” singer appears inside the police station playing a fellow officer.
The Grammy winner plays a rookie detective helping the team find out if Swift will make an appearance at the Emmys or not.
She also mentions a few interesting words and phrases: saccharide, Aries, from the vineyard, and north or south. Fans on the internet think it alludes to her new era. One fan commented on the skit: “Trying to sleep tonight like.” Another fan wrote: “Ladies, I think we have some clues for the debut vault to drop. Sugar (saccharides), an unreleased demo + Aries (Drew’s sign, perhaps?).”
