Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently left California for a longer stay in the U.K., bringing their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with them. The couple has reportedly chosen a private home outside London rather than a royal residence. Archie and Lilibet, who grew up in Montecito, are also reportedly attending nearby schools.
Their return has reportedly caused some tension within the Royal Family, especially because Harry and Meghan are no longer working members of the monarchy. According to sources cited by the outlet, King Charles has welcomed the chance to spend more time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Queen Camilla, however, reportedly feels very differently about their return.
Camilla’s reported anger stems largely from Harry’s comments about her in his 2023 memoir, “Spare.” Harry described Camilla as “dangerous” in the book and accused her of leaking stories to the media to improve her public image. Those claims reportedly left a lasting mark on their relationship.
A royal insider claimed Camilla is still very upset that Harry and Meghan have returned to Britain as if their past family problems never happened. “It makes her sick to her stomach that Harry and Meghan are now waltzing back as though nothing had ever happened,” the source alleged.
The insider also claimed Camilla has no intention of overlooking what Harry wrote about her. “She’ll never forgive the awful things Harry said about her,” the source said. The source also made a pointed claim about Meghan’s role in Harry’s relationship with the Royal Family. According to the insider, Camilla allegedly views Meghan as a “toxic influence” on her stepson and believes the Duchess has encouraged Harry in ways that serve her own interests.
