Salma Hayek celebrated turning 60 with an ocean swim that left little to the imagination. The actress marked the milestone by skinny-dipping, proving her birthday game remained wonderfully unpredictable.
Hayek’s daring celebration arrived after years of embracing ageing on her own terms. It also gave John Stamos’ increasingly cheeky birthday tradition some serious competition.

Hayek shared the birthday photos on Instagram after turning 60 on September 2. In one image, she rolled around in the ocean, while another showed her posing from behind. She captioned the post, “60 and grateful.” Fans quickly celebrated the Frida star’s confidence. One admirer wrote, “60 yet ageless … Father Time must be smitten with you.” Another praised her for “60 years of sweetness, talent, grace, and a beauty that shines from the inside out.”
Beachside birthday posts had become something of a Hayek speciality. At 59, she posed in a red bikini aboard a yacht and wrote, “59 trips around the sun and still dancing.” She also became a 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star at 58.
Hayek admitted the Sports Illustrated moment once seemed impossible. “If somebody had told me I was gonna be in it at 58, I would have sent them to the madhouse,” she said. She previously explained that getting younger was not her goal. Instead, she wanted to feel confident at every age. “I just want my husband to still go, ‘Wow’ when he looks at me,” she told PEOPLE.
Meditation also became part of her approach to maintaining her youthful appearance.
Meanwhile, John Stamos had embraced his own birthday tradition. The Full House alum celebrated 63 with a shirtless black-and-white mirror selfie captioned simply “63.” Fans responded with plenty of Uncle Jesse jokes. One wrote, “More like Uncle Yes-se! Happy Birthday!” while another declared, “Not John Stamos with the thirst trap.”
Kelly Rizzo also joined the fun, writing, “All I can think about is ‘what would Bob say’ right now.”
