Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Rumored Move Could Test the Palace — Source

Six years after the dramatic Megxit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to Britain on August 26, 2026. The decision followed the Sussex family’s private meeting with King Charles at his Highgrove home in July. While the King is delighted to welcome his youngest son home, news from insiders has been swirling that a reported move from the non-working royals to return could put that peace to the test.

King Charles could reportedly get ‘furious’ with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s major TV move

After returning from California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly eyeing new opportunities with UK broadcasters.

However, according to senior royal sources who spoke to RadarOnline, King Charles would be furious about such a move. They were referring in particular to a BBC documentary deal aimed at reviving the Sussexes’ television fortunes following their homecoming.

A palace insider shared, “The prospect of Harry and Meghan working with the BBC would inevitably cause anxiety at the Palace. Charles has been trying to rebuild his relationship with his son privately, and the last thing he wants is another television project generating headlines about the Royal Family. If it became another vehicle for discussing private royal matters, he would be furious.”

The couple is reportedly exploring documentaries and factual entertainment as part of potential UK projects. Being back in the country has apparently made working with UK production companies significantly simpler.

A high-ranking figure in British television told the outlet, “Being back in Britain completely changes the landscape for Harry and Meghan. They don’t need another gigantic Netflix-style agreement. They can potentially make individual programs with the BBC or commercial broadcasters and retain much greater freedom over what they produce.”

As for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s previous projects, their reported $100 million deal with Netflix delivered Harry & Meghan, Heart of Invictus, and Polo. Meanwhile, other projects like Markle’s animated show Pearl and an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s Meet Me at the Lake failed to materialize.
