King Charles Blasts Prince Harry’s Secret UK Move, Creating Major Tension — Source

King Charles is reportedly angry with Prince Harry amid the latter’s UK return. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex returned to England on August 26. Following that, the monarch is reportedly upset with his youngest son over his actions. As per a source, Charles didn’t like that Harry informed British security officials about his comeback before informing his father.

King Charles ‘furious’ Prince Harry informed Home Office and not him first of UK return, per source

According to RadarOnline, King Charles is “furious” with Prince Harry for being informed about his son’s UK return late. The Duke allegedly told British security officials about his plans before he told his father. Charles reportedly found out days later.

“The King understands perfectly well why the appropriate authorities needed advance warning, particularly given Harry’s long-running concerns about security,” a royal source stated. They continued that what angered him is “that officials apparently knew something as significant as his son’s return before he did.”

The source added, “After everything that has happened between them, Charles regarded that as extremely disappointing.” They also stressed on the significance of this arrival, “This isn’t some routine visit lasting a couple of days – Harry is bringing his wife and children back to Britain.”

Harry and Meghan Markle’s UK return is expected to start a new assessment of the former’s security arrangements. This is because the couple lost their taxpayer-funded, automatic, round-the-clock police protection after quitting their royal duties in 2020.

The Home Office has reportedly stated that the Duke’s protection is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Former royal protection chief Dai Davies said in an interview that Harry’s new protection is expected to be quite expensive. Amid this, Charles is disappointed that security officials were informed about his son’s return before him. “There is frustration because Charles and Harry had finally begun making some progress personally,” a second royal source explained.

The 77-year-old reportedly “wants a relationship with his son and particularly wants opportunities to see his grandchildren.” The source continued, “Against that background, finding himself further down the information chain than the Home Office was never going to improve matters.
