Prince Harry & Meghan Accused of Using ‘Fake’ Events to Upstage Royals

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing allegations of using “fake” events to overshadow the royal family. This comes as the Sussexes find themselves caught in the middle of the Duchess’ family crisis. Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., is reportedly being investigated in the Philippines after child sexual abuse material was allegedly discovered at his former home in Cebu.

Presenter Alex Armstrong slams Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for overshadowing royal family engagements

Presenter Alex Armstrong has criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for drawing attention away from royal family engagements. The non-working royals returned to the UK in late August and have remained active since. The Duke focused first on charity engagements and preparations for next year’s Invictus Games in Birmingham. Meanwhile, Meghan stayed out of the spotlight as she helped their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, settle in and adjust to the move.

That has now changed, with the couple appearing together in public for the first time in Nottingham in October. Their activity has prompted royal experts to ask whether the Sussexes’ schedule conflicts with that of the royal family.

Appearing on the Daily Expresso podcast, GB News presenter Alex Armstrong argued, “I don’t think anyone wants them here anymore! They’ve burnt their bridges so many times. When the King was in the Senedd, opening Parliament, Harry had to do something. They are always trying to overshadow a royal event. And British people expect, if you’re a royal, which is a really prestigious position to be in… just be quiet and do the job.”

He added, “It seems like they’re trying to do these fake royal engagements – for what? You can’t make it up. If they wanted privacy, enjoy your privacy, but stop making a fuss of things if you don’t.”

According to Newsweek, Harry and Meghan will soon visit the charities they supported as working royals. The duo will likely invite the media to cover the events and share their work with the public.
