Sources say Meghan Markle wants reconciliation with Princess Catherine but refuses to accept sole blame for their rift

Sources connected to Radar Online shared that Meghan Markle is keen on patching up with Kate Middleton. However, she doesn’t want to “bow down” to the Princess of Wales as a means to patch up. Sources explain that Markle wants to make amends but not at the cost of her self-respect.

The insider dished, “Meghan is prepared to be civil, and she recognizes that rebuilding a relationship with Kate would make life enormously easier for everyone.” However, they added that Meghan will not “bow her head” and take the blame for “everything that went wrong.” According to Meghan, reconciliation can only happen if both parties come to an understanding and acknowledge the issues between them.

As per insiders, Markle is not keen on cowering down in front of the future queen to be accepted back into the royal family. The sources explained that the Duchess of Sussex “may genuinely want the hostility” and negativity to come to an end. However, the former actress is clear that she cannot be taking “all of the blame” just to make amends.

The insider further added that Markle’s top priority is protecting herself and her family as they settle into their second innings in the UK. The Duchess wants an amicable equation with Middleton but based on “mutual respect” and efforts from both sides.

“She isn’t going to bow to Kate, beg for forgiveness or pretend that her own grievances never existed simply to secure a royal peace deal,” the source added.
