A royal expert claimed Kate Middleton wasn’t just preparing to be a royal wife but also for a key role in the future monarchy. They said she steadily planned her path into royal life rather than rushing the process. Another expert also spoke about how much Prince William trusts her and reflected on her headstrong personality, which would be essential for her future role.
Expert says Kate Middleton carefully learned how to support Prince William without overshadowing the monarch
Royal author Simon Vigar penned in “The Four Wives of Windsor” that Prince William’s right-hand man recalled how Kate Middleton believed in taking her time to learn about royal life rather than rushing to become a prominent member of the family. He told Fox News Digital that somebody told him that Catherine is no “wallflower” but a woman with strong opinions, which she isn’t afraid to put across.
Vigar added, “William obviously trusts her implicitly, and they need people like that. The queen needed Philip. Charles needs Camilla. And William needs Catherine. [And] she’s very clever. I reckon she’s probably the cleverest of a lot of them.”
He said that as a newcomer to the royal family, she wanted to master her responsibilities and make a place for herself there, without stealing the limelight away from the monarchy. Vigar provided an example of the family’s charitable interests around issues like education, wounded service personnel, and homelessness. He noted that it was Middleton who brought these “issues together under the mental wellbeing manner.”
“It wasn’t Harry or William. She was the one who said, ‘Do you know what the common denominator with all of this is? It’s mental wellbeing and mental health.’ And so, they started a new charity, sort of an umbrella over those,” he elaborated.
He mentioned that Middleton has learned from other consorts that one may not be one step ahead, but they can always show up to support. He added that if something is wrong, it is one’s responsibility to call it out and correct it.
On the other hand, Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham also said that Middleton played the “long game,” carefully preparing for the day she would become queen when William ascends the throne. “That training is far more extensive.”
“There has been a steady build of PR power for Kate. It involves wearing the right clothes, manufacturing the right photographs to show a successful queen-in-waiting, as well as a devoted mother,” he added.
