According to The Sun, Lionel Richie was discharged after spending three days in a St. Louis hospital. The publication, citing PEOPLE, reported that the 77-year-old is now resting at his home and is “doing good.”
The health scare occurred during Richie’s recent concert in St. Louis. Witnesses said the singer appeared short of breath during the final songs of the show. He also reportedly told the audience he was feeling “dizzy” and “strange.” Richie eventually sat on a bench and performed his hit “All Night Long” as he struggled to catch his breath before finishing the concert.
Following the performance, reports stated that he went to a local hospital for medical evaluation. TMZ initially reported that doctors were investigating possible dehydration and that the visit was precautionary. However, The Sun reported that Richie spent time in an intensive care unit and was treated for what were described as “cardiac-related issues” during his three-day stay.
