Tamron Hall is bringing fresh energy to her talk show for its eighth season. The Daytime Emmy winner says the new season will focus on romance, self-love, and honest conversations. The show will also welcome major celebrity guests and bring back popular segments. Season 8 will premiere Sept. 14.
Tamron Hall teased how her Love Island obsession inspired the new season’s biggest changes
Hall told Entertainment Weekly that romance will play a big role in the new season. She said her love for “Love Island” and similar shows helped fuel that focus. Hall wants to explore modern dating and how people approach love today. She also wants viewers to understand the importance of loving themselves first.
“That’s not love today,” Hall said about the old idea of someone sweeping you off your feet. “It starts with loving yourself,” she explained. Hall said people must open themselves to both giving and receiving love when they feel ready. She called love “a two-way street.”
Hall also credits emotional honesty for the show’s success. She said the series enters its eighth season as the second longest-running syndicated show in Disney’s history. She cited people such as Deion Sanders, who broke down while seeing the support from the audience. Hall said the show centers on everyone’s stories, from Hollywood stars to people known in their own communities.
Season 8 will feature “big celebrities” and the return of Hall’s “Let’s Get Lit” book club. The show will also bring back its Social Media Debate series and its designer mentorship series. Hall has been mentored by some of the industry’s great fashion icons, such as Paul Tazewell, Michael Kors and André Leon Talley. She also highlighted her work with Eucerin Radiant Tone, saying healthy skin matters whether someone wears light makeup or appears on television every day.
Hall hopes her biggest legacy comes from the writers and producers who started their careers on the show. “I can’t wait,” she told Entertainment Weekly, describing a future where she cheers for former colleagues from home. Season 8 of The Tamron Hall Show premieres Sept. 14. Viewers can check their local listings for details.
