According to Rob Shuter, Meghan Markle should be nervous about Victoria Beckham amid her UK return. For the unaware, the Sussexes’ and Beckhams’ friendship allegedly fell apart due to an accusation by the former. The Duke and Duchess reportedly blamed the Beckhams for their private information being leaked to the press. Moreover, Harry confronted David Beckham directly over an alleged phone call, leaving him angry.
“That was the moment Victoria was done,” a London insider told the outlet. The Spice Girls alum “believed Meghan questioned their loyalty and embarrassed David.” The insider continued, “Victoria can forgive plenty. Disloyalty isn’t one of them.” Things are now expected to turn complicated with Markle back in Victoria’s lane: the UK. Insiders have warned that anyone who underestimates the Beckham power is making a serious mistake.
“The UK may not be big enough for Meghan and Victoria. If London society is choosing tables, Victoria wins, ” the source said. They added, “The Beckhams have fashion, football, celebrities, billionaires, media and royalty.” Thus, Markle “cannot compete with decades of those relationships.” Sources have also claimed the conflict between the two sides has never truly disappeared. Moreover, the report noted that Victoria doesn’t need a direct clash with the As Ever founder to show her dominance.
“Victoria doesn’t need to attack Meghan. She has something much more powerful: relationships,” the insider continued. The insider further explained, “People know where they stand with the Beckhams, and nobody wants to find themselves on the wrong side of Victoria.” Rumors of conflict between the Sussexes and the Beckhams have been making rounds for a long time.
