Kelly Clarkson said an emotional goodbye to her daytime talk show after seven seasons. She reflected on the journey and also shared the reason why she decided to depart. She commenced her final show by performing “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters. Moreover, she described the day as “bittersweet” as her talk show journey reached its final destination.

Before the final credits roll, Clarkson spoke about her journey and dedicated the last edition of “What I’m Liking” to her kids, River and Remy. She revealed that when she started her show, River was in kindergarten and Remy also received an opportunity to sing on her show. She added that the kids have grown and have entered new chapters in their lives. Remy admitted that he loved singing with the band and getting the chance to speak with Jason Momoa. He also said that he was proud to see his mother shine every day, which left Clarkson in tears.
Ahead of this, Clarkson mentioned that one of the major reasons she did this show was the stability and schedule it offered. However, it also remains the same reason she has decided to say her goodbye. She said she’s proud of her kids while calling them the “greatest kids in the world.”
Giving off a positive message to the viewers, she explained, “For seven years, I’ve ended each episode by saying, ‘Have a great day, and if it’s not, change it.’ I say that because while we have to accept that life is totally out of our control, each moment, though, truly depends on how we choose to respond or react to it. You don’t have to attend the negative party you were invited to, I’ve been told by a therapist, so there you go.”
The singer-songwriter emphasized the importance of reminding oneself each day that they have a choice, which can help them respond appropriately and understand who they truly are. She said that this habit would eventually become a natural part of their life and positively impact it. She further thanked the cast and crew for their love and support all these years and expressed gratitude for the opportunity. Saying goodbye alongside her kids, they all said together, “Before we turn the page, have a great day, and if it’s not, change it.”
