As per a RadarOnline report, Brad Pitt filed a new request against Angelina Jolie. Pitt asked a judge to compel financial records from 2017 to 2019. According to the filing, Jolie initially agreed to provide broader profit-participation statements. It then stated, “On Feb. 23, 2026, Jolie withdrew her agreement.” Pitt’s side pointed to emails it said showed that earlier promise.
Meanwhile, the filing offered Jolie another route to avoid producing those documents. It said Pitt’s side would withdraw the requests if Jolie made two stipulations. She would need to state she was not under “economic pressure” before January 1, 2020. She would also need to say Pitt did not exert “economic coercion” from 2017 to 2019. Jolie’s own filing pushed back, saying she “has never alleged” financial distress.
However, Jolie’s filing framed the issue as privacy and separation. It said her allegations centered on untangling “her financial life” from the ex-spouse she was divorcing. The filing also stated Jolie had “never returned to Miraval” since the alleged September 2016 incident. It said she wanted to sell her interest to “dissociate” from traumatic events she linked to the estate. It added that her personal finances were irrelevant.
Still, the Miraval case itself dates back to 2022. RadarOnline reported that Brad Pitt sued after Angelina Jolie sold her stake in the French estate. The buyer was a company controlled by Russian-born billionaire Yuri Shefler. The reported sale price was $67 million. Pitt claimed she sold without his knowledge. The former couple settled their divorce in 2024, but the winery fight continued.
