George Clooney is reportedly making a renewed effort to bring the spark back to his marriage with Amal Clooney after years of demanding work schedules left the couple with less time together. The longtime couple still appears deeply committed, but an insider claims George now realizes he needs to put more effort into their relationship.
George Clooney reportedly fights to revive spark with Amal Clooney
George had a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most famous bachelors. He dated several well-known women over the years, including Celine Balitran, Lisa Snowdon, Sarah Larson, Elisabetta Canalis and Stacy Keibler. That changed in 2013 when Amal Alamuddin came into his life. Amal, an international human rights lawyer and barrister, met George through a mutual friend at his Lake Como home. They quickly connected and soon started dating.
George later said their relationship moved quickly. He even recalled that his agent jokingly predicted he would marry Amal after meeting her. George proposed to Amal at home on April 28, 2014, after a pasta dinner. He got down on one knee and waited as Amal took in the surprise. The couple married later that year and welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander.
After years of building their life together, George and Amal now reportedly face a new challenge. According to the insider, both have spent much of the past few years focused on their careers. Their busy schedules have reportedly left them with little time to spend together. “They’ve both been very consumed with work the past couple of years, and that absolutely took a toll on the relationship,” the source claims, as per Closer. The insider says the couple struggled to maintain a healthy balance between their professional responsibilities and personal lives.
“George has had a wake-up call and has realized he needs to woo his wife again,” the insider claims. George has reportedly started putting more effort into his appearance. Instead of always wearing casual clothes, he is bringing out his designer outfits again and paying more attention to his style. The insider added that “Amal has noticed” and that “the spark is back.”
