The Season 5 trailer for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has officially dropped. The 1-minute, 16-second trailer gave fans a glimpse into Taylor Frankie Paul, and Dakota Mortensen’s breakup. It takes another turn when Dakota reveals a secret tattoo for her amid their ongoing custody battle.

Hulu unveiled the trailer on August 26. The upcoming season will debut on September 10 and will feature only five episodes. It will see Taylor, Jessi Draper, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Layla Taylor, and Miranda Hope.
The Season 5 description for Mormon Wives read, “After two wild years, #MomTok is hotter than hell. Taylor returns with unfinished business as Whitney sets her sights on Broadway. In Utah, the clout‑chasing orbit around #MomTok, the backlash, and relationships on life support push loyalty to the limit. As fame’s heat threatens to burn the sisterhood, have they finally flown too close to the sun?”
The trailer kicks off with an off-camera producer questioning the women about “this whole situation.” Mayci reveals that “there’s so much stuff the public doesn’t know.” The comment appears to refer to the domestic assault allegations involving Taylor. In 2023, she was caught on camera throwing a chair at Mortensen. The incident was later discussed during Season 1 of the show.
The trailer shows Taylor in several scenes. At one point, she FaceTimes Dakota and asks him why he had her initials tattooed on his lips. “It’s giving obsessed,” she tells him. In response, the DadTok star cheekily replies, “I am obsessed.”
Production of Season 5 was temporarily halted after an alleged domestic incident involving the two. Mortensen and his ex have also been embroiled in a legal battle over their 2-year-old son, Ever. The pair began dating in July 2022, shortly after Paul announced her divorce from Tate Paul. Mortensen and Paul were never married but had an on-and-off relationship. They are also involved in an ongoing domestic violence investigation.
