Taylor Swift & Margot Robbie’s Murder Mystery Set To Arrive on Streaming Soon 

Taylor Swift and Margot Robbie’s Amsterdam is heading to streaming, bringing David O. Russell’s 2022 murder mystery to a wider audience. The film follows three friends who become entangled in a murder case before discovering a much larger political conspiracy. Amsterdam is set to join Hulu’s streaming lineup soon, giving viewers another opportunity to watch the film.

Amsterdam to stream on Hulu in September

Amsterdam, starring Taylor Swift and Margot Robbie, is set to arrive on Hulu next month. According to Hulu Press, the murder mystery will begin streaming on September 1, 2026. Written and directed by David O. Russell, the film was released theatrically in the United States on October 7, 2022.

Amsterdam is set in New York City in 1933 and follows Burt Berendsen, Harold Woodman and Valerie Voze as they become caught up in a murder case. After being framed for murder, Burt and Harold reunite with Valerie while trying to clear their names and investigate the mysterious death of their former commanding officer. Their search eventually leads them to a secret political conspiracy that poses a threat not only to their lives but also to the future of the country. 

The cast includes Christian Bale as Burt Berendsen, Margot Robbie as Valerie Voze/Bandenberg, John David Washington as Harold Woodman, Alessandro Nivola as Detective Hiltz, Andrea Riseborough as Beatrice Vandenheuvel and Taylor Swift as Elizabeth Meekins among others.

Amsterdam received largely negative reviews from critics. The film currently holds a 32 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 260 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience score is considerably higher at 61 percent.

The film also struggled commercially, earning approximately $31.2 million worldwide against an estimated production budget of $80 million. According to Box Office Mojo, the total includes around $14.9 million from domestic theaters and $16.2 million from international markets.
