Subscribers still have a limited window to stream Bombshell before it leaves Netflix‘s library. Bombshell is leaving Netflix next month
Netflix subscribers have only a limited time left to watch Bombshell. According to What’s on Netflix, the Margot Robbie and Charlize Theron-led drama will be removed from the streaming platform on September 10, 2026.
Directed by Jay Roach and written by Charles Randolph, Bombshell premiered on December 13, 2019. Inspired by real events, the film follows the women whose allegations against former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes led to a major scandal.
Set during the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Bombshell follows Megyn Kelly, Gretchen Carlson, and producer Kayla Pospisil as they navigate a growing controversy at Fox News. After Carlson files a sexual harassment lawsuit against chairman Roger Ailes, the case encourages others to come forward with their own experiences. As the allegations grow, the three women face difficult personal and professional decisions while challenging one of the network’s most powerful figures.
Charlize Theron leads the cast as Megyn Kelly alongside Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson and Margot Robbie as Kayla Pospisil. The film’s supporting cast includes John Lithgow as Roger Ailes, Kate McKinnon as Jess Carr, and Connie Britton as Beth Ailes, among others.
Bombshell received mixed reviews from critics but was more warmly received by audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds a 67 percent critics score based on 350 reviews, while its audience score stands at 84 percent.
