Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Reported UK Return Leaves Major Royal ‘Apoplectic’ — Expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning to return to the UK, leaving Prince William “apoplectic.” Furthermore, their father, King Charles, was “made aware of their plans” on Sunday, as per reports.

This move comes a month after the Sussexes’ private reunion with Charles and Queen Camilla at the monarch’s private residence, Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, on July 10. While the King would seemingly welcome the idea of spending more time with his younger son, the Prince of Wales is reportedly not pleased with this development.

One major royal is reportedly furious over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rumored UK move

Prince William is reportedly unhappy at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rumored return to the UK (via Express.co.UK). BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt hinted that the surprise announcement is likely to have left the Prince of Wales “apoplectic.”

Hunt said: “In the long term, the return of the Sussexes to the UK opens up the prospect of two rival courts, William’s and Harry’s.” The royal expert explained that once Harry is back, it will be difficult for William to avoid a possible reconciliation.

Hunt explained to the Press Association: “In the long term, the return of the Sussexes to the UK opens up the prospect of two rival courts, William’s and Harry’s. In the short term, Harry will be able to deepen his rapprochement with his father.”

Hunt continued, “And his presence back home will make it harder for his brother to duck a reconciliation. The surprise return of Harry and Meghan is likely to have left William apoplectic.” Interestingly, William and Kate steered clear of Harry when he visited the UK last month for the Invictus Games.

For those unfamiliar with the situation, Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals in January 2020. They relocated to Montecito, California, in the US. Now, six years later, the Sussexes are reportedly planning to return to Britain. According to PEOPLE, they will live in a private, non-royal residence in the country while keeping their homes in California and Portugal.

The couple reportedly plans to live in the UK for an extended period beginning this month. Their children, Archie and Lilibet, are also expected to attend school there in September.
